doesn’t this sound good to you?:
“It was custom built in 1960 by architect Frank Shell for himself. The house has multiple atriums, floor to ceiling glass in most rooms, post and beam ceilings, outdoor fireplace, cork floors, concrete halls, radiant floor heat, and a lot of original fixtures still intact.”
every so often i torture myself by looking at the mid century real estate listings. and inevitably when i do i find a house that we must find a way to buy. i start fantasizing about how great our lives would be if we lived there, imagining where our furniture would go, how cute baby g’s childhood photos would be with this gorgeous house as a backdrop, etc. hmm… now that i think about it, this house doesn’t have a yard, which maybe isn’t great for a child. however, it does have three atriums. i’m sure we could plant grass in one of them. i’m also pretty sure that hot tub does not come with the house.
sigh. it’s not the right time for us to buy a house. papa v is possibly on the verge of a new job (!!!) which could make buying a house a whole lot easier, but i’m not going to count my chickens before they’ve hatched. in the meantime i’ll drool over this beauty, confident that there will be something wonderful on the market when it really is our time.
